Freelance Google Ads

Google Ads campaigns + tracking, from $690/month

I build and manage your Google Ads campaigns (Search, Lead Gen, Performance Max) with one rule: you don’t optimize an account whose conversions are wrong. Tracking is verified first, decisions are explained after.

What it looks like

Where your ad shows up in Google

Ads sit at the top of the page, inside a labeled block, above the organic results. Here is what they are made of.

Recreation of a Google Ads ad at the top of the results, based on the September 2026 interface. The ad shown is an example.
  1. The “Sponsored Results” blockGoogle now groups ads under an explicit header, with a button to hide them. Nobody is fooled: people know it is advertising, and they still click when the promise matches what they are after.
  2. The advertiser name and URLFavicon, name and breadcrumb all come from your final URL. It is the first trust signal, read before the headline itself.
  3. The headlinesUp to three 30-character headlines, assembled by Google based on the query typed. This is where click-through rate is won, and the first thing I rework.
  4. Sitelinks and their descriptionsFree, they make the ad taller and add entry points: pricing, demo, a specific service page. An ad without assets takes up half the space of the competitor right next to it.
  5. The organic resultsThey start below the ad block. On a commercial query, the first thing someone sees is almost always an ad.

Why work with a freelancer rather than an agency

An agency puts an account manager between you and the person who actually touches the account. With a freelancer, the person who answers your email is the one building the campaigns, reading search term reports and adjusting bids. No overhead, no account handed to a junior on a Friday afternoon.

My other difference is tracking. Since 2012 I have taken over dozens of Google Ads accounts where conversions were double-counted, fired on page load instead of a validated form, or simply missing. Smart Bidding learns from those numbers. If the signal is wrong, the budget goes to the wrong place.

What campaign management includes

  • Clean account structure: campaigns, ad groups, keywords and negatives
  • Responsive search ads written for your offer, assets and extensions
  • Bid strategy matched to the goal: target CPA, target ROAS, maximize conversions
  • Weekly search term review, negatives added
  • Budget pacing, device, location and schedule adjustments
  • Plain-English monthly report: cost per lead, cost per sale, ROAS, what changed and why

Search, Lead Gen, Performance Max: which campaign type fits your business

Search campaigns

The core of Google Ads: your ad shows when someone types a query related to your business. It is the most profitable format for lead generation (quote requests, bookings, calls) because intent is already there. I work exact queries, negatives and landing pages to bring cost per lead down.

Lead generation campaigns

For a service business, a local company or a professional practice, the goal is a submitted form or a phone call. I set conversions on the real event (validated submit, click-to-call), not on a thank-you page that can be refreshed, and I import offline conversions when your CRM allows it.

Performance Max

Performance Max runs across Search, Shopping, YouTube, Display, Gmail and Discover from a single asset group. Powerful, but opaque when tracking is sloppy: the algorithm optimizes on what it sees. I use it when conversions and their values are reliable, with precise audience signals and brand exclusions where relevant.

How we work together

1. Account and tracking audit

I review the existing structure, history, declared conversions and what they actually measure. Starting from scratch? I create the account and the tracking in the same move, with the launch package.

2. Build or restructure

Campaigns, ads, audiences, conversions, starting budget. You approve the structure and the messaging before anything goes live.

3. Monthly management

Every month you get a readable report: what you spent, what it brought in leads or sales, and the decisions made. Your Google Ads, GA4 and GTM accounts remain yours: if we stop, you keep the full history.

Your accounts stay yours. I work inside your Google Ads account through an access you can revoke at any time. No campaign ever runs in an account you don’t own.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions

What is the minimum ad budget to start on Google Ads?

It depends on the cost per click in your industry. For a local service business, a few hundred dollars a month is enough to get usable data. I give you a realistic range after checking volumes and CPCs for your keywords, before any commitment.

How long before I see results?

The first leads arrive within days on a well-targeted Search campaign. Algorithm learning usually takes 4 to 6 weeks and around thirty conversions a month to stabilize. Which is why conversions need to be accurate from day one.

Can I keep my existing Google Ads account?

Yes, and you should: history matters. I work in your account with an access you control. I never run your campaigns in an account I own.

Is there a contract for monthly management?

No. Management is billed month to month and can be stopped at any time. Campaign build with tracking is a one-time fee: $1,190 for a lead-gen site, $1,890 for an e-commerce store.

Do you work with US clients from France?

Yes. I work remotely, in English, with overlap hours on US Eastern time. Google Ads, GA4 and GTM don’t care about time zones; reporting and calls are scheduled to suit you.

Are your campaigns already running?

I start by checking the conversions. If they’re wrong, we fix them before optimizing.
